| .BIOGRAPHY. |
Eliza Paul was born just outside of Sacramento, California in January of 1989. Rasied dualy by her Veterinarian mother and their expansive collection of pets, Eliza began her exploration into the world of light with an old 35mm Nikon at horseshows up and down the coast of California. In high school she was introduced to darkroom printing, and was hooked from there on out. She moved to Santa Cruz in 2007 to pursue her BFA with a minor in Psychology. Coming from a background of film photography, Eliza spent the majority of her college years working in the darkroom on campus, experimenting mostly with portraiture and fine art printing. Frustrated with the budget cuts in the California school systems, she decided to get serious about photography as a career and moved to the East coast in early 2010 to pursue her passion. Eliza is currently attending a full-time professional photography program through the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University at their Washington, DC campus. She is now interested in pursuing photojournalism as well as continuing on to expand on her knowledge of portraiture and fine art photography. Influences include Richard Avedon, Trent Parke, Rene Burri and Jeff Hutchens. VISIT MY BLOG AT ELIZAPAULPHOTO.WORDPRESS.COM |
